Our Ambassadors

Olivia Boutilier

St. Francis Xavier University

Hey! My name is Olivia and I’m in my fourth year in Human Kinetics at StFX. Although I no longer live in residence, I still work with the ResLife department as a Community Educator. I put on programs educating first year students on things like safe consumption, individual well-being, and act as an overall support person for Community Advisors. Beyond work, I enjoy watching the varsity basketball games here at X and hanging out with my roommates!

Sydney Allen

Université Sainte-Anne

Hi! My name is Sydney Allen. I’m a fourth year student at Université Sainte Anne studying a B.A in French and a B.Ed in Secondary Education. My hometown of Cole Harbour seems like a bustling city in comparison to my seasonal home of Church Point. That being said, I absolutely love living in a small francophone community and am heavily involved in student life. In addition to my position as a student ambassador for Keep It Social (or for us, Restons Sociable), I am an RA, the student representative for the education department, and the president of the student wellness committee. I love the work I do on campus and take pride in being able to educate students and have fun at the same time.

Amélie Guitard

Université Sainte-Anne

Hi, I’m Amélie, a biology major entering my fourth year of university. I am involved in many ways on-campus, both as an ambassador for Keep It Social (in my second year doing it) and I’m the vice president for the student wellness committee, alongside Sydney. We love sharing wellness tips and tricks with our fellow students, especially during the tough times of the year like exams. I play badminton for the university’s team and am really enjoying my role in student life here at U Ste Anne.

Kenedee Romer

Acadia University

Hi everyone! My name is Kenedee and I’m a senior at Acadia, majoring in Kinesiology. I am from The Bahamas, and this is my second year being the Keep It Social student ambassador. I love being able to help students throughout the year and educate my peers in a way that doesn’t shame us for going out and having fun, just how to do it responsibly.

Liv Brennan

Saint Mary’s University

Hi, my name is Liv, I am originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick. I am a third-year Anthropology student at Saint Mary’s University. I work at the Student Success Centre as the Student Life Coordinator and part of my role is to be the Keep It Social ambassador. I am very passionate about Keep It Social, and our messaging and goals resonate with me deeply. When I am not on campus, I enjoy hiking, hanging out with friends, and visiting the Halifax Central Library!

Andi Heffernan

Cape Breton University

Hey, I’m Andi Heffernan and I am in my final year of a Bachelor of Business Degree with a Concentration in Human Resources at Cape Breton University. Along with my studies, I’m also a research assistant for one of my professors. When I am not at school or doing research, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and playing with my four dogs, Lily, Winston, Lola, and Bella. As the Keep It Social ambassador for CBU, I look forward to seeing everyone at various events on campus throughout the year!

Lauren Petrie

Mount Saint Vincent University

Hey, I’m Lauren. I’m a third-year public relations student at Mount Saint Vincent University, originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. By far, my favourite activity in Halifax is checking out live music on the weekends—we have such an active and interesting music scene here. I’m super excited to be back at MSVU for another year and to return to the role of Keep It Social ambassador for my school. Last year I had a great time coming out to events, meeting new people, and supporting responsible consumption in the MSVU community.
